Yvonne Marie (Hanley) Tremblay passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children, on Monday June 22, 2020 at the age of 78. “Evie” was born in Burlington Vermont to Donald Hanley and Mary (Ryan) Hanley. She graduated from Burlington High School and soon after married Roger Tremblay. Together they had five children, Roger Jr., Donna, Kimberly, Hong and Jan. Yvonne worked in retail in the early years until she found her true passion, caring for foster children. She was a foster mother to over one hundred twenty infants and also had a full-time daycare in her home for many years. She was a kind and compassionate mother who was happiest when she had a baby in her arms. She also had a special place in her heart for her pets, most recently her constant companion Missy. Yvonne’s hobbies included shopping, bingo, crocheting, camping and going for rides to visit family and friends. Pity to those who sat across from her at the poker table. Yvonne was predeceased by her mother Mary and her brother Rodney. Left to cherish her memories are her children Roger Tremblay, Jr. and his wife Heather, Donna (Tremblay) Gregorek and her husband Dave, Kimberly Tremblay, Hong Chau and her husband Di and Jan Tremblay, eight grandchildren, Justin and Ryan Gregorek, Benjamin Tremblay, Amber Henes, Alexis Lajeunesse, Meiling, Mien and Meishun Chau. Yvonne’s mischievous wit and beautiful smile will be remembered, missed dearly and never forgotten. The graveside service will be held on July 11 at 10 AM at Resurrection Park Cemetery followed by a memorial gathering at the Moorings Marina at 332 West Lakeshore Drive in Colchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Yvonne’s name may be made to Vermont Catholic Charities. Kindly remember to adhere to CDC guidelines and practice social distancing as possible.
