Obituary for Theresa Marie Larivee (Larivee)

Theresa was born and raised in Burlington, VT, the eldest daughter of Albert J. “Poco” Larivee and Rolande Delorme Larivee. After graduating from Burlington High School in 1946 Theresa began what would be a lifelong career at the New England Telephone company, retiring at age 56. She also spent decades working part time at the Alpine Shop for Chuck and Jan Perkins. In her younger years Theresa enjoyed traveling with friends and she enjoyed driving her many convertibles. In retirement she spent a number of years caring for her mother Rolande, allowing her to remain at home until her passing.
Theresa was predeceased by her parents and by her brother Armand “Poco” Larivee. She leaves behind her beloved dog Gigi as well as her siblings: Bernard Larivee of Burlington, VT, Robert Larivee of The Villages, FL, Arthur “Joe” Larivee of Dale, TX, Joyce Place of Milton, VT and Jane Murray of Rumney and Milton, NH. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their children.
A graveside service will be held with family at a later date. In memory of Theresa, donations can be made to the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, VT which provided wonderful care in the days prior to her passing.
