Obituary for Michael Allen Zeno

On Saturday, May 14th Michael “Mike” Zeno, loving husband and father died at his home in Colchester, VT at the age of 65.

Mike was born in Burlington on January 19th, 1957, the son of to Roy and Elizabeth “Betty” (Viau) Zeno. He graduated from Rice Memorial High School and spent 45 years working in the paper sales business. His latest position as a sales representative was with Lindenmeyr Monroe for 27 years.

He was married to Darlene Zeno for 44 years and together they raised 2 children.

Mike was very active and loved to be outside. He could be found in summer months tending to all his plants and bird feeders, biking or star gazing with a fire in evenings. He loved vacationing in Aruba with his wife each March where they would would meet friends, go on beach walks and have margaritas at sunset. He was a self taught “Mr. Fixit” who was always willing to help family and friends with projects. Above all he was happiest spending time with his family. He was always there when anyone needed him and his love, loyalty and smile are already deeply missed by everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Zeno of Colchester; his children and their spouses; Heath and Naomi Zeno of St. Albans; Lindsey Zeno of California; his 3 grandchildren Taylor, Matthew and Makenna and 1 step-grandson Jacoby. He is survived by his brothers and their spouses and families; Tom and Mary Zeno of Arizona, Mark and Vonda Zeno of New York; and his sister and her husband and family Donna and Sam Gould of Tennessee. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and wife Robert “Bobby” and Nicki Kaigle; and step-mother Jacqueline Zeno of Winooski. In addition, he had many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Betty Zeno.

A service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21st at Our Lady of Grace church, 784 Main ST Colchester, VT followed by a burial at Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery, Colchester, VT.
