Obituary for Michael Loiselle

Michael Loiselle, 72, passed away on May 18, 2021 in his home in Colchester surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 14, 1949, son of the late Leonard and Pearl Loiselle. He graduated from Burlington High School and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts. Mike was proud of his service and always had a Marine Corp flag flying at his house.

Upon returning home, he went to work in the gas industry as a service technician, working first with his father than for other local companies. He loved spending time with family and bragged to anyone who would listen about his grandsons.

He is survived by his son, Lance Loiselle and spouse Jen and their children Christopher and Tyler; sister Pamela Charlebois and spouse Tony; nephew Patrick Shute and spouse Lynn; nieces Torylyn Donaldson and spouse Malcolm; and Erin Pecor; as well as several grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Theresa Mowatt and Charlene Pecor.

The family would like to extend our thanks to the staff of Home Instead Senior Care who were an integral part of Mike continuing to be able to stay at home over the last several years and to the staff at Bayada Home Health Care for their support over the last two months.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 1:00PM at LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service. 132 Main St Winooski, VT 05404. A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery 416 Church Rd, Colchester, VT 05446, on June 11, at 2:00 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made to Age Well, 875 Roosevelt Hwy, Ste 210, Colchester, Vermont 05446, designated to the Meals on Wheels program.
