Kathryn Julie Thompson, "Kat", born in Middlebury, aged 41, of Starksboro, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021.
Kathryn is survived by her two children, Kenyon, and Kaila, aged 15 and 11; mother and father, Lorraine and Alfred Jr.; and siblings, Steven, Penny (husband Jeremy), John, Renée (husband Jeff), and Adam (wife Ashley); Kathryn’s paternal sisters: Terry & Lynn Thompson of California; and nieces and nephews: Jeremy, Justin, Jessica, Jared, Mary Elizabeth, Jordan, Jasmine, Nicholas, Sheridan, Alexis, Connor, Isabella, Harper and Gabriella, who she was close with.
Kathryn's laughter and quick smile infected all those around her, and she will always be remembered as a generous, kind, and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend; always ready to lend an ear and put the needs of others first. The road ahead will be challenging, but already Kathryn's indelible contribution is reflected in her two beautiful children, who in these heartbreaking times demonstrate they possess their mother's selflessness, love, kindness, and generosity. The outpouring of support from family and friends has been a confirmation of the impact Kathryn left on us all, and is humbling.
