Joyce Mary (McDonald) Fredette
Colchester - Joyce Mary (McDonald) Fredette, 76, of Colchester, VT passed away peacefully with her loving husband George, son Bob and sister Betty holding her hands, on September 11, 2021 at her home after an extended illness. She was born to the late Clifford and Yvonne (Provost) McDonald on November 18, 1944 in Winooski. She was married to Robert Geno, who predeceased her in 1992. She married George Fredette on October 2, 1993. She worked at IBM, Fletcher Allen, and cleaning homes around the area. She enjoyed reading and spending time and going out to eat with her friends and family. She was known to be very generous and had a big heart, caring for everyone especially her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband George, two sons Robert and Brian Fredette, grandson Jacob Fredette, adopted grandson Troy Austin, siblings Ruth Tromblay, Janet Maring, Betty Hammond, Donna Amstein, and Gary McDonald, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and countless friends. She was predeceased by her parents, members of the McDonald family brothers Richard, Clayton, Clement, and Donald, sisters Gert and Lorraine.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday September 16, at LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St, Winooski, VT 05404. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Friday September 17, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St Francis Xavier Cemetery. Donations in her name to a hospice of your choice.
