Obituary for Jeannette Bernice Kane (Bouffard)

On February 15, 2022 Jeannette Bernice Kane, devoted wife and loving mother died peacefully at the age of 88 surrounded by her loved ones at The Residence of Quarry Hill. Affectionately called Mim by her grandchildren, she took great pride in the home she built with her husband Paul (predeceased) in Winooski, VT. Together they raised 6 children. Michael (wife Lu), Sharron, David, Sandra (predeceased), Cheryl (husband Tom) and Kevin (wife Dianna). She adored her
grandchildren, Jason (wife Danielle), Chris, Keith, Robert, Kyle Gregory, Lindsay, Courtney (husband Joel) and Erin. Giving her much laughter were great grandchildren Parker, Molly, Teagan, Brodyn and Jackson.

Mim loved her time with family. Holidays, barbeques, camping trips and enjoying Fourth of July fireworks on her screened in porch that could be seen from Burlington. She enjoyed bird watching and her jigsaw puzzles. Mim was always a proud Winooski native where she was born into a large family of 11 children. Her parents were Henry and Lena Bouffard. All are predeceased except for her younger brother Richard Bouffard.

Although we feel great sadness of not having her here with us, we know she is in Heaven with the love of her life Pip (Paul) and Sandy. We would like to thank the caring staff at The Residence of Quarry Hill especially to Tanya Seely and her talented crew in Reflections Memory Care. The care and compassion you gave her is immeasurable. There will be a Mass on Saturday March 5th at 11:00 at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Winooski to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Alzheimers.org to help fight this terrible disease.
