Obituary

Frances Mary (Augostino) McKenna, surrounded by her children, joined her beloved husband Jack in heaven on Sunday, the 7th day of February, 2021.

Frances, the first Augostino to be born on American soil, was born April 21, 1930 in Port Henry, NY to Salvatore and Rosaria (Mazzitelli) Augostino , who predecease her.

As a small child, Frances and her family relocated to Winooski, Vermont where she was the second of 8 children. Frances attended Winooski schools and as a young woman worked at the Mademoiselle Dress Shop and later, General Electric, and Jogbra.

Frances married the love of her life, John Patrick (Jack) McKenna on April 16, 1955. Together, Jack and Fran raised their family, who often caught them dancing in the living room, on River Street in Winooski. The door was always open to family and the friends of their 4 children. Many a teenager hung out on the McKenna front stoop or played in their yard over the 59 years Frances lived on River Street.

Frances is survived by her children, Jeffrey and Patricia McKenna, Cheryl McKenna, Jamine and Steven Campagna, Kelley Trombley and David Nerbak , her grandchildren Renee and Brett Kuehn, Erin McKenna, James Raymond and Elizabeth Bouffard, Bradley and Brittany Campagna, Katie Campagna and her great-grandchildren Blake, Carson and Ripley Kuehn, Olivia Owens and Xander McKenna-Staley, Lucas and Noah Campagna, Jack, McKenna, Chelsea and Cassidy Raymond.

Frances is survived by her brothers Tony (Nancy) Augostino , Patrick (Arline) Augostino and sisters Anna Stoll and Victoria Lathbury. She is also survived by many family members on both Augostino and McKenna sides and her best friend Sue Savoy.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jack, her sisters Katherine Dattilio, Mary Lawrence, brother Joseph Augostino and great-grandson Alexander Owens.
