Born on March 8, 1947, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 after battling a long illness. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert & Eleanor Ritchie, wife, Norma Jean Ritchie, brothers Robbie Ritchie, Ronald Ritchie, Donald Ritchie, sister Joyce Ritchie, step daughters, Michelle Miller Beaudoin, Sharon Moquin, and niece Brianna Ritchie. He is survived by his daughters, Denise Boothe and husband Gary Boothe, Hope Grant and husband Jeremy Grant, Tara Gillian, step daughters, Melissa Blondiet and husband Charles Blondiet, Mary Dusablon, Patty Koonz, Wendy Vanslette and Kelly Francis, sons, William Rich and wife Kristen Rich, Mark Rich and wife Maggie Rich, Keith Gillian, Leo Rich and wife Michelle Rich and Eddie Rich, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dad enjoyed lots of company, playing cards with his best friend Paul and Sonny Bombard and Joey Brault, along with others. He enjoyed fishing and wood working, visiting with his grandchildren and eating chocolate pie. He will be missed by many, yet never forgotten.

Arrangements by Lavigne Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 there will be no viewing. All are welcome to meet at Lakeview Cemetery on North Avenue in Burlington on Monday, December 7th, 2020 at 1:00 pm. His deceased brother Donald Ritchie will be buried with Ed at this time. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the American Heart Association.
