Edith (Edie) Burton Robenstein, age 82, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 22, 2021. She is survived by her husband William Robenstein & six children and their spouses: Robert & Leeza Robenstein, Theresa (TC) & Allen Bugbee, Bernadette (Bernie) O'Neil & Jason Goodrich, Mary Robenstein, Patricia (Patsy) & Eiron Cudaback, & John Robenstein.
Edith was a 1956 graduate of Bergenfield High School, NJ. She went on to receive an AA degree for Business Administration from Champlain College in 1984. She was born in Teaneck, NJ where she resided until moving to South Burlington, VT. She was an avid competitive roller dance/pairs skater where she competed in several state championships & later became a dedicated skating coach. Edith didn't stop at skating; she became a Master in the art of Taekwondo achieving the level of 5th-degree black belt. She was a partner in a studio in VT where she guided individuals through their journey in this ancient martial art. Edith spent decades providing a multitude of services to the University of VT Medical Center. She found great joy in gardening, had a deep compassion for animals, & loved her family deeply. Edith will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Besides her children, Edith is survived by her brother Jack Burton & Virginia Burton, her nieces, Alanna Burton & Alessandra Burton her grandchildren: AJ Bugbee, Josh Bugbee & his fiancé Meg Konowich, Tess Bugbee, Tyler Robenstein, Sheana Robenstein, Zachary Robenstein, Quinn Cudaback, Scout Cudaback, Roshan Robenstein & great grandson Matthew Bugbee.
A viewing will be held at LaVigne Funeral Home in Winooski, VT on Monday, July 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held the following day, July 27th at 11 a.m at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with a burial to follow immediately after. A short reception will be held after the service for all in the church basement.
