Obituary for Beverly Anne Companion
May 17, 1935 - October 18, 2021
Beverly was born May 17, 1935 to Henry and Mildred Schill. She graduated from Burlington High School in June of 1954. On October 1, 1955 she married Walter Companion. Walter and Beverly raised one son, Craig, and three daughters Terry, Laurie, and Lynn.
Beverly was known as a sweet, kind, and caring person, who was always willing to share whatever she had and help whoever was in need. She was always at Walter’s side whenever there was a project to complete.
Beverly worked in accounting for Chittenden Trust Bank, Companion Hardware and Hilson Home Center. She enjoyed traveling, both statewide and abroad. Golf was a sport she enjoyed, in Vermont and in Florida. She loved playing cards and enjoyed reading numerous books. She also loved to go out antique shopping with her friends.
Beverly was predeceased by her father Henry Schill and her mother Mildred Schill, her daughter Terry, and her brothers Bernard and Donald. She is survived by her husband Walter, sister Sandy and her three children Laurie, Craig and Lynn as well as 25 nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 4th at 1:00pm with family members attending at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Winooski. Arrangements are in the care of LaVigne Funeral Home. A special thank you goes out to Synergy Home Care, Maple Ridge Memory Care, and Bayada Hospice for the loving care they all provided.
